Hemi Levison<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Israeli baritone Hemi Lewison first came into contact with music at Alon Highschool in Ramat HaSharon, where he took lessons in singing and recorder. He then studied voice and pedagogy with Miriam Melzer and Ido Ariel at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he earned his Bachelor\u2019s degree in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hemi has appeared on stage in various operas by Mozart, Purcell, Humperdinck and Strauss. In oratorio, his solo repertoire includes pieces by Bach, Handel, Beethoven, Faur\u00e9, Mendelssohn and Bloch. As a cantor he sings regularly with the ensemble \u201cDie Drei Kantoren\u201d and assists in various Jewish congregations in Germany and Europe. Parallel to his solo career, Hemi Levison has worked and continues to work in various choirs, including the Jerusalem Academy Chamber Choir under Stanley Sperber and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Chorakademie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition singing, Hemi Levison often plays the recorder at concerts in Berlin and Germany. He is the founder of the \u201cTriony Recorder Trio\u201d ensemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hemi Levison is delighted to be the new Shalom Chor conductor and to embark on a new musical journey with them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Even before Svetlana Stepovaja began her professional training as a pianist in Temirtau, Kazakhstan, she had already won several music competitions. After successfully completing her studies, she worked as a piano teacher and r\u00e9p\u00e9titeur at Dzheskazgan Music College, where she attained the highest level of training as a concertmaster and, with her students, won many awards in various national competitions. She has lived in Berlin since 1998 and worked as a piano teacher, accompanist, church musician, soloist and concertmaster. Since 2008, Svetlana Stepovaja has been an invaluable support to the choir as a pianist during concerts and rehearsals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
